How the admin works

The admin follows a few simple rules, the same on every page. Knowing them saves you from hunting for where to click — and above all from losing changes.

Where to find it
Admin app — admin.nextal.com
Who can use it
Anyone with access to the admin (each page adds its own permission)

The header and the menu

  • The header is the same as in the ATS and the CRM: the logo, the application switcher, the Search button (see Ctrl + K search), help, chat and your avatar menu. The “Admin” tag shows which app you are in.
  • The left menu groups the pages (Configuration, Administration, and Platform for Nextal staff). You only see the pages your permissions and your account’s modules give access to. The Collapse the menu button shrinks the menu to an icon strip; on a phone, the menu opens in a drawer.
  • The home page (/conf/home) shows one card per accessible page, with its description, and a Quick actions column (invite a user, new email template…).
  • The light or dark theme is chosen in the avatar menu.

Tabbed pages

Several pages — ATS settings, Career page, a job template, a survey — are split into tabs. The current tab is part of the address (for example /conf/admin/settings/ats/jobSettings/statuses): you can copy the link of a specific tab and share it. An old address without a tab simply opens the first one.

Settings pages: the Save / Cancel bar

A settings page (Profile, Entities, Job automation, each Career page tab, the job template editor…) presents its settings in cards. The principle:

  1. Change whatever you want — nothing is saved yet.
  2. A bar appears at the bottom of the page with the number of unsaved changes.
  3. Click Save to apply everything at once, or Cancel to restore the saved values.

If you leave the page with unsaved changes — by clicking in the menu, changing tab, or closing the browser — the admin asks you first (Leave without saving?: Stay or Leave).

Lists

List pages (statuses, users, templates…) all have the same shape:

  • a title and a description, the search and, depending on the page, filters;
  • the Show inactive switch to see deactivated items;
  • a main add button, and secondary buttons (Import, Export…);
  • one row per item, with its columns, a ⋯ menu (Edit, Duplicate, Delete…) and, at the bottom of the list, the pagination.

Click a row (or ⋯ → Edit) to open it in a side panel. Only two controls on the row act immediately, without going through Save: the Active switch and the ⠿ drag handle. A deactivated item is hidden from the choices offered, but its data is kept.

Side panels

A panel opens on the right of the page (narrow, medium or wide depending on the content — 480, 640 or 880 px). It always follows the same rule:

  • Save applies your changes and closes the panel; Cancel (or the cross) discards them — a confirmation (Discard your changes?) appears if you had changed something;
  • Delete, when the action exists, is at the bottom left and always asks for a confirmation before acting;
  • the panel scrolls its content, but its footer stays visible.

Reordering by drag-and-drop

When order matters (statuses, workflow steps, questions…), each row has a ⠿ handle. Drag it; the order is saved as soon as you release it.

  • Mouse and touch: grab the handle, move, release.
  • Keyboard: Tab to the handle, Space to pick up, arrow keys to move, Space to drop (Esc cancels).
  • While a search is active, the list cannot be reordered (“Clear the search to reorder”).

Multilingual fields

Text fields that exist in several languages (labels, names, email subjects…) have FR / EN / ES pills above them: click a pill to switch language. A dot marks a language still to translate. Only your account’s languages are offered.

Messages

  • A green message confirms an action (“Saved”, “Document deleted”…).
  • A red message reports an error; what you typed is kept so you can try again.
  • A red banner at the top of the page says you are missing a permission: the page stays visible, read-only.

A destructive action (delete, disconnect everyone, disable a provider…) always goes through a confirmation window before acting.
