Job comments

Internal team notes about one job — context, hiring manager preferences, sourcing strategy. Strictly internal: candidates and the client never see them.

Who can use it
Anyone with access to jobs can read. Editing a comment requires being the author or edit access on jobs.

The Comments tab on a job is for the kind of notes that don’t fit anywhere else: “hiring manager wants someone with FinTech experience, not just generic backend”, “client agreed to bump salary band by 10% after the second round of declines”, “avoid candidates from competitor X — non-compete issues”.

Write a new comment at the top; existing ones stack below.

Adding a comment

    Plain text, multi-line.

Reading and editing

Comments stack newest-first. Each shows the author, the timestamp, and the full text. Hover any comment to reveal edit and delete icons. You can always edit/delete your own. For someone else’s, you need edit access on jobs.

Tips

  • Capture hiring-manager preferences early. Drop a comment with the key things the manager said in your kickoff call — it’s easier for teammates to triage candidates correctly.
  • Date-anchor decisions. Including “as of 2026-02-14” in the text helps when you come back to the comment a quarter later.
  • Use comments for stuff you don’t want in writing to the candidate. Anything that should stay internal lives here.
