Administrators with inbox access

The Inbox is a log of the emails sent from your Nextal tenant. When a candidate reports not receiving a message, or you want to confirm what was sent, this is where you look. It is read-only: you review messages and their delivery status, but you cannot compose or send from here.

The Inbox. Select an email from the list to read it in the pane on the right.

The email list

The list on the left shows the sent emails, newest first, and loads more as you scroll. Each entry shows:

  • Subject — the email’s subject, shortened if long.
  • Date — the date the email was sent.
  • Sender — the user the email was sent by.
  • Attachment icon — shown when the email has one or more attachments.
  • Status icon — the current delivery status (see below).

Select an entry to open it in the reading pane on the right.

Reading an email

The reading pane on the right shows the full email:

  • To and From addresses
  • The subject and the date it was sent
  • The full rendered content of the message
  • An attachment icon when the email includes attachments

Until you select an email, the pane prompts you to choose one from the list.

Delivery statuses

StatusWhat it means
SentThe email was sent successfully.
DeliveredThe email was delivered to the recipient.
OpenedThe recipient opened the email.
FailedThe email could not be delivered.

A “Sent” status means the platform handed the message off successfully. It does not by itself guarantee the recipient received or opened it.

Tips

  • Use the Inbox when candidates report missing emails — find the message and check the status it reached.
  • Watch for Failed statuses — a pattern of failures may point to a delivery problem.
  • Open the email to read its full content exactly as the recipient received it.
