Canada Motor Jobs is a specialized job board for the Canadian automotive industry. The integration lets Nextal automatically post motor-sector jobs to Canada Motor Jobs on behalf of your clients, eliminating manual re-posting. Because automotive staffing firms often serve multiple dealerships, the integration supports a per-client business mapping so each client’s jobs post under the correct Canada Motor Jobs business listing.

What it does

  • Posts eligible jobs to Canada Motor Jobs automatically when the integration is active.
  • Maps each client in your Nextal account to a corresponding business in your Canada Motor Jobs account.
  • Supports a Default Business as a fallback for clients that have not been individually mapped.
  • Stores the Canada Motor Jobs API token securely, separate from other settings.

Prerequisites

  • A Canada Motor Jobs publisher account with API access.
  • Your Canada Motor Jobs API Token (available from Canada Motor Jobs — treat it like a password).
  • The names of the businesses registered under your Canada Motor Jobs account (fetched automatically once the API token is set).

How to activate

  1. Go to Administration → Integrations and find the Canada Motor Jobs card.
  2. Click Configure to open the configuration panel.
  3. Check Enable Canada Motor Jobs Integration.
  4. Click Configure API Token to open the secure token panel. Enter your Canada Motor Jobs API token and click Update API Token. The businesses registered to your account will load automatically.
  5. Once businesses have loaded, optionally select a Default Business — this is used as a fallback when a job’s client has no specific mapping.
  6. Under Client to Business Mapping, click Load Businesses (if not already loaded) to fetch the list of businesses from Canada Motor Jobs.
  7. For each client listed, select the corresponding Canada Motor Jobs business from the dropdown. Use the filter buttons (All / Mapped / Unmapped) and the search field to work through large client lists efficiently.
  8. Click Save.

Tips

  • Set the API token before trying to map clients. The business list is fetched from Canada Motor Jobs using the API token — without it, the dropdown in the mapping table will be empty.
  • Use the Unmapped filter to identify gaps quickly. Once you have loaded businesses, switch to the Unmapped view to find clients that still need a business assignment before you go live.
  • The Default Business is a safety net, not a substitute for full mapping. Jobs posted under the wrong business may appear under the wrong dealership on Canada Motor Jobs. Complete the per-client mapping for accuracy.
  • Update the API token securely if it changes. Use the Configure API Token button rather than any other flow — the token is stored separately for security.
  • Disabling the integration stops new postings. Jobs already posted to Canada Motor Jobs are not removed; they remain live until they expire or are removed from Canada Motor Jobs directly.
