Job publishing and syndication

Publish a job to your career page and partner job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed, Jobillico, etc.) — all controlled from the job detail page. Pick which boards each role goes to.

When you create a job, it’s saved as a draft by default. To make it visible to candidates — on your career page and on partner job boards — you need to publish it. Publishing in Nextal is two things: the Published toggle (on/off), and the Publishing sites picker (which job boards this role goes to).

Two things matter: the Published toggle (overall on/off) and the Publishing Sites multi-select (which boards).

The Published toggle

Green = visible to candidates. Red = hidden. Toggle from the key-facts row.

The toggle in the key-facts row of every job detail page controls whether the job is live:

  • Published (green) — the job is visible on your career page and on the selected partner job boards.
  • Unpublished (red) — the job is hidden from candidates. Recruiters can still see it in the app.

To flip the toggle, click it and pick the new state in the small editor that opens.

Publishing sites

Pick which boards this job goes to. Default depends on your job template or org settings.

On the Detail tab, the Publishing sites multi-select lets you pick exactly which job boards this role should appear on. The available options depend on your organisation’s configured integrations:

  • Career page — your branded career page on nextal.co.
  • LinkedIn
  • Indeed
  • Jobillico (Quebec-focused)
  • Plus any other integrations your organisation has enabled.

When a job is published, only the selected sites pick it up. Unchecking a site stops sending the job to that board on the next sync.

Republishing

From the 3-dot action menu on the job detail page, the Republish job option resets the publish date to now. This pushes the job to the top of your career page list (since most career pages sort by date) and re-broadcasts to syndication partners. Useful when a role has been open for a while and you want to give it a fresh push.

The public job page

What candidates see. Click "Visit public page" from the 3-dot menu to see it yourself.

Every published job has a public URL that anyone can visit (no Nextal account needed). To find it:

  • Visit public page — opens the public job page in a new browser tab.
  • Copy public page link — copies the URL to your clipboard so you can paste it in an email or social media post.

Both options live in the 3-dot action menu on the job detail page and only appear when the job is published.

Tips

  • Set publishing sites at creation, not after. If you forget, the job goes to all sites by default — including paid boards you may not want every role on.
  • Republish for stale jobs. A job open for three months gets pushed down on most boards. Click Republish once per month to keep it visible.
  • Use the copy-link option for social posts. Pasting the public URL into LinkedIn or Twitter is a free way to amplify a role.
