GSuite

Who can use it
Administrators with integrations access

The GSuite integration enables users to connect their Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) accounts to Nextal. Once active, recruiters can send emails to candidates from their own Gmail address and manage interview events in their Google Calendar — all without leaving the platform.

What it does

  • Enables users to link their personal Google Workspace mailbox for sending and logging emails.
  • Enables users to connect their Google Calendar for interview scheduling and availability management.
  • Acts as the organization-wide switch: once enabled here, each individual user connects their own account from their profile page.

Prerequisites

  • A Google Workspace account for your organization.
  • The GSuite integration and the Office 365 integration are mutually exclusive — you can only have one email/calendar provider active at a time. If Office 365 is already enabled, the GSuite toggle will be disabled until Office 365 is turned off.

How to activate

  1. Go to Administration → Integrations and find the GSuite card.
  2. Click Edit to open the configuration panel.
  3. If Office 365 is currently active, deactivate it first (the GSuite toggle will be grayed out until this is done).
  4. Check Enable Google Suite and click Save.
  5. The integration is now active at the organization level. Each user must then go to their own profile page and authorize their individual Google account.

Settings

SettingDescription
Enable Google SuiteMaster switch. Check to activate GSuite as the email and calendar provider for the organization; uncheck to deactivate.

Tips

  • Switching providers requires each user to re-connect. If you move from Office 365 to GSuite (or vice versa), users will need to re-authorize their accounts from their profile page.
  • Deactivating affects everyone immediately. If a user is in the middle of a workflow that relies on their Google Calendar, deactivating the integration will break that connection.
  • Test with one user before rolling out. Have a single recruiter connect their account and verify that email sending and calendar creation work as expected before announcing the change.
