Who can use it
Administrators with integrations access

Nextal AI is the engine behind several intelligent features across the platform. When enabled, it powers AI-assisted job description generation, AI-driven candidate scoring and ranking, and AI-enhanced resume parsing. A single toggle at the organization level turns all of these on or off — no additional credentials or external accounts are required.

What it does

When the Nextal AI integration is active:

  • Job description generation — AI assistance buttons appear in job description editors across the ATS and Admin interfaces, letting recruiters generate, improve, and translate descriptions from a brief prompt.
  • Candidate scoring — candidates are automatically scored and ranked against each job based on configurable weights (education, job titles, skills, languages, and more).
  • Resume parsing — resumes uploaded to candidate profiles are parsed by the AI engine to extract structured data automatically.

Prerequisites

  • No external account or API key is required. Nextal AI is a built-in feature managed entirely within the platform.
  • Access to this toggle requires administrator-level integrations access.

How to activate

  1. Go to Administration → Integrations and find the Nextal AI card.
  2. Click Edit to open the configuration panel.
  3. Toggle Activate on.
  4. Click Save.

Once saved, AI buttons appear in job description editors across the ATS and Admin interfaces. No further configuration is needed.

ActivateMaster toggle. Enabling it turns on all AI features across the platform; disabling it hides AI controls everywhere.

Tips

  • There is no per-feature toggle. Turning on Nextal AI enables all AI capabilities at once. If you want to pilot a subset of features, communicate that to recruiters through onboarding rather than configuration.
  • AI scoring requires scoring weights to be set. For candidates to be scored accurately, the AI scoring weights on each job template should be reviewed and adjusted to reflect your hiring priorities.
  • Disabling AI is reversible. If you turn the integration off, all previously generated content (descriptions, parsed data) is preserved — only the AI controls are hidden.
  • AI parsing and the Nextal built-in parser are mutually exclusive. When Nextal AI is active it handles resume parsing; when disabled, the standard Nextal parser is used instead.
