Job template — AI scoring weights
When the AI scores a candidate against a job, it compares the candidate’s profile against the job’s requirements across several dimensions. The scoring weights on this template tell the AI how much each dimension should count toward the overall fit score. Jobs created from this template inherit these weights.
Editing the weights
The AI scoring weights section is located at the bottom of the Detail tab. All weights are edited inline on the Detail tab — click a weight to edit it, and it saves automatically when you confirm. There is no separate sidebar for weights.
How to set weights strategically
There is no universal right answer — the best weights depend on what matters most for this role type. Consider raising the weight for dimensions that are hardest to develop on the job, and lowering the weight for dimensions where flexibility is acceptable.
Tips
- Start with an even distribution and adjust from there based on what consistently predicts success in the role.
- Revisit weights after several months of hiring. If highly-scored candidates are not performing well, look at which dimensions you over-weighted.
- Different templates for the same job family can carry different weights — a junior template might weight certain dimensions differently than a senior one.
