BoldSign
The BoldSign integration enables electronic document signing within Nextal. Once active, offer letters and other HR documents can be sent to candidates or employees for legally binding e-signature — all from the candidate profile or the documents workflow — without needing a separate BoldSign login.
What it does
- Enables the e-signature workflow on documents in Nextal, routing them to BoldSign for signing.
- Associates your BoldSign brand profile with the signing experience so recipients see your organization’s name and logo.
- Optionally sends signature requests on behalf of a specific email address within your BoldSign account.
Prerequisites
- A BoldSign account with API access.
- Your BoldSign Brand ID — found in the BoldSign administration panel under Branding. This is required.
- Optionally, an On Behalf Of email address — the address that will appear as the sender in signature request emails sent to signers.
How to activate
- Go to Administration → Integrations and find the BoldSign card.
- Click Edit to open the configuration panel.
- Check Enable BoldSign Integration.
- Enter your Brand ID (required).
- Optionally, enter an On Behalf Of email address.
- Click Save.
Once saved, the e-signature option becomes available on relevant documents in the platform.
Settings
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Enable BoldSign Integration | Master toggle. Enabling it makes the e-signature workflow available across Nextal; disabling it hides e-signature controls. |
| Brand ID | Your BoldSign Brand ID. Required — signing requests cannot be sent without it. |
| On Behalf Of | An email address in your BoldSign account. When set, signature request emails appear to come from this address rather than the default sender. |
Tips
- Create a dedicated brand in BoldSign before activating. A brand defines the logo, email template, and redirect pages signers see. Setting this up in BoldSign first ensures a polished experience from day one.
- The Brand ID is not your BoldSign account email. Find it in the BoldSign console under your brand’s settings — it is typically a UUID or alphanumeric string.
- “On Behalf Of” is useful when multiple people send documents. Setting this to a shared inbox (e.g.
hr@yourcompany.com) ensures signing requests have a consistent reply-to address. - Disabling the integration does not cancel in-progress signing requests. Documents already sent to BoldSign will complete their signing workflow regardless of whether the integration is toggled off in Nextal.
